  1. The bottom picture is the final version of the the YB-49, the YRB-49A, a recon version. Note the podded engines under the wings, and the reduction in in-wing engines from 8 to 4. Noyt visible is the large radar bulge in the belly, ahead of the shortened tail-cone.
