drive it to school... ! Hell yeah!

17-year-old racer Matthew Scannell, of Guelph, Ontario, however. The high-school student races a Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Matthew's shop class teacher, Paul Lydan, helped get John F. Ross High School onboard to allow the race car to visit the school's auto shop. For Matthew, who's been racing since he was 7, it was an opportunity to share his passion with fellow students who aren't overly familiar with either cars or motorsports. For Mr. Lydan, it was an opportunity to expose youngsters to the car culture we live, love, and take somewhat for granted.

  1. It's Guelph. No doubt a typo... but as a resident, and regular reader I just thought it would be a good opportunity to make the correction and thank you for your blog, which I greatly enjoy.
To pronounce Guelph... imagine the sound a dog makes while throwing up.
