it must have been good to be a client of Bill Mitchell in 1964

GM design chief Bill Mitchell built a series of Corvette “styling cars” for VIP clientele as a way of testing the waters on various design details.

It’s rumored that as many as 15 such cars were built, making them especially rare today. This particular car has wire-spoke wheels, uniquely designed sidepipes, and a vanity mirror built into the passenger-side sun visor.
